RAFA Solutions won a Cool Application Awards announced by National Instruments

RAFA Solutions won a Cool Application Awards announced by National Instruments.

This award is provided to NI partners who have a compelling customer application or solution or have provided LabVIEW consulting to a large account or critical system.

The prize for the winner is a complimentary NIWeek pass and a feature on Alliance Day during NIWeek.

This year the 21st annual NIWeek begins August 3 at the Austin Convention Center. This global conference on graphical system design brings together more than 3,200 leading engineers and scientists across a spectrum of industries, from automotive to telecommunications to robotics to energy.

RAFA Solutions has participated in the Cool Application Awards with its Oil Pipeline Monitoring System, which is based on the NI Compact RIO platform.

The main purpose of the system the company has developed was to create a system for the inspection and monitoring of oil pipelines without stopping the flow of the product pipe. The method used for the solution was magnetic flux leakage (MFL). MFL allows detecting metal loss due to corrosion, gouging and other defects.
For more information about the system read system’s case study.
