RAFA Solutions today announced the release of their new product “Advanced Calculations on Curves”.
Advanced Calculations on Curves was created to help with calculations on multipoint data, such as waveforms as well as other data. The idea for creating such a toolkit born in the process of implementation of our previous projects and products. Our engineers were not able to find toolkits that would perform all the needed calculations on multipoint data, so we decided to make such a toolkit to make the development process for analytic solutions easier and faster. The VI-s included in the toolkit are successfully used in our own projects and products.
The product is designed for users who develop analysis or calculation software and need to include some advanced features to their programs. The Advanced Calculations on Curves Toolkit will give an opportunity for these developers to use already implemented and tested tools for making calculations more accurate, optimal and fast for implementation. Our team assures that these VI-s will be of extremely high usefulness for mathematical calculations on multipoint data.
The toolkit includes 4 Vis that perform different functions on XY Graph data.
1. Calculate Crossings.vi calculates crossings of two given curves, in terms of XY graphs and returns the crossing points in the same format. You should define the accuracy of calculations and the method by which given curves will be interpolated before finding the crossing points. This VI can be very useful for data analysis or mathematical calculations.
2. Curve into Functional Sections.vi splits the given curve into functional sections, i.e. sections with monotonic X axes. This is a very useful option as in LabVIEW there is a wide range of multipoint calculations that are done only on the curves with monotonic X.
3. Levels.vi: This VI finds the points of the given curve that correspond to specified levels. By levels we mean equidistant levels, via Y axis, that start from 0, and the difference between two subsequent levels is specified by the parameter “Delta”.
4. Surface.vi gives an opportunity to calculate the surface of an arbitrary curve. The curve may be closed as well as open, with X axis non-monotonic or monotonic.
In addition, all the VI-s accept different XY data-types as inputs.
The integrated context Help makes the use of all the VI-s even more convenient. The provided examples give an opportunity to see the use of the VI-s in action.
