RAFA Solutions today announced the release of their new product Calculator Toolkit. Developers of RAFA Solutions created Calculator Toolkit to make integration of the calculator functionality into custom LabVIEW applications fast and easy.
Calculator Toolkit by RAFA Solutions includes three main types of the calculators: Standard, Scientific, and Programmer.
To provide large usage of the VIs, four styles of user interfaces are provided for each of the VIs: custom, silver, system and modern.
Calculators have a user-friendly graphical interface which allows fast and easy creation of formulas by clicking the buttons and selecting variables. Formulas can include numbers, operations, and scalar and vector variables. Calculators allow full customization of warning messages and VI closing scenarios. Depending on the settings calculator VIs can be closed when a calculation is performed and output the result on a corresponding output terminal, or VI can be left running and the result of the calculation will be presented in the formula box.
During formula creation, each time a new character is entered, the formula is being evaluated to disable buttons which are not allowed to use. This function of the calculator helps to escape from entering the wrong formulas.
Standard Calculator includes basic and most popular mathematical operations. Scientific Calculator includes also more advanced functions, such as trigonometric functions, logarithmic functions, etc.
Programmer Calculator can be used to perform Boolean calculations using custom formulas. Numbers can be entered in four possible formats: Hexadecimal, Decimal, Octal, and Binary. After the calculation is performed it is possible to convert the result into one of the four representation formats.
The toolkit also includes Calculate Formula VI which provides an opportunity to perform calculations using formulas which include vector variables. VI performs calculations on arrays thus increasing the speed of calculation. Calculate Formula VI accepts string type formulas which can include operation, numeric and valid variables.
